    • Dear YP,
Many thanks for getting in touch with us! Whilst clearly it is short notice now for September 2019, we can still organise something for you. I will send you an email with some further ideas, please let me know if you don’t receive it!
      Warm regards, Jon

  2. Hi, I’m coming to Istanbul 13 of September i would like self guided trip from Istanbul and back to Istanbul 50km a day what is your recommendations

    …. Best regards

    • Hello Azoiz, Thanks for your enquiry. We don’t have any self-guided programmes in the area around Istanbul, but I would recommend you travel down the Aegean coast and follow one of our Aegean Road Biking tours there. You can fly easily from Istanbul to Izmir and begin a tour from there. 50km per day is a good distance to cover- and there are several options. I’ll send you a private email in case you are keen to learn more. Kind regards, Jon

  3. We are considering you Aegean Coast ride in early June 2016 but I can’t see the pricing on your web site.

We would be flying from UK – midlands and may stay a few days after the cycle somewhere pleasant with a beach. Where do you recommend. Is Izmir airport both ways better for that?

    • Hi Lisa, Thanks for getting in touch with us. The 9-day Aegean Coast guided group ride costs 1050 Euros per person in 2016, plus a surcharge of 100 Euros per person for groups of 3 to 5 people. There are other options for self-guided too. The pricing is on top of the right hand column… If you like to stay longer, I heartily recommend Dalyan as a perfect place… There is enough to see and do to keep you occupied, fine hikes, wonderful boat trip excursions and of course Iztuzu- the best beach in Turkey and a protected wildlife haven. So, you’d fly into Izmir and out of Dalaman. I’ll copy this into an email so we can communicate further. Thanks again, Jon

  4. Hi
We are looking for a 5-6 day self guided tour aprox 50-60km daily, not too hilly to do in July. Do you have any recomendations?

    • Hi Bev, Nice to hear from you. In July the coast is rather hot, but I would recommend Cappadocia as a wonderful destination, with perfect (hot, but not too hot) weather at that time of year. We have two self-guided tours there- one is road biking, and the other a mix of road, dirt tracks and easy singletrack mountain biking. From the distances you suggest, I understand the road option might suit better: http://bikinginturkey.com/self-guided-biking-holidays/cappadocia-self-guided-road-bike-touring/ In which case, some of the days are longer than 60km, but using transfers we can easily reduce the ride lengths to suit! I’ll send you an email with more details! Cheers, Jon

  5. My husband and I are traveling to Turkey Nov 23-Dec 2nd, and we are interested in biking for 2-3 days during this timeframe. Do you rent bikes during this time? And what routes would you suggest from cappadocia? Interested in covering about 50miles/day, intermediate level. Greatly appreciate rates and details. Thank you!

    • Hello and many thanks for your message. We have a large selection of bikes for rental at 30 Euros per day- including hardtail MTB’s from Trek and Specialized and high quality road bikes. We also offer professionally guided tours for 90 Euros per day- which includes bike hire and restaurant lunch. If you are considering 50 miles per day can I assume you are more interested in road biking? (50 miles is a lot to do off-road in Cappadocia!). If you could let me know your preferences via email, I’ll suggest a route accordingly! Thanks, Jon

  6. Hi,
My wife and I are planning a 2 weeks trip to Turkey from the 24th May to 8th June.
    Our plan is:
    a) landing in Istanbul (from Dublin), spend there 2/3 days doing independent sightseeing, then
    b) about 1 week self guided tour on the Aegean Coast
    c) spend 2/3 days to rest in a nice seaside spot
    d) go back to Dublin
About cycling: is there any change we can cycle on traffic-free back roads? we would like to cycle about 50km a day of course depending on how hilly it is.
About accommodation: we don’t have a big budget and we don’t like fancy hotels as we will be there just about to sleep.
Can you send me some suggestions and prices?
    thanks! 🙂

    • Hi Ettore. Thanks for contacting us! Yes, self-guiding along the Aegean coast in May and June is possible and highly recommended. I’ll send you an email with some details and prices. Best regards, Jon

  7. Hey, i m studying in Ankara. I might have Free Time from friday (thursday evening) for at least 4 days. Are any Mountain Bikes available to Cycle around izmir or cappadocia? And do you have a Map and A plan for me, i thought about cycling around 60km a Day, Depending on the roads. Cheers, sandra

      • Hi Sandra, Thanks for getting in touch! We only have bikes instantly available from our Goreme (Cappadocia) office, but if you give us enough notice we can organise self guided tours (but not bike hire only!) in the Izmir area.If you can come to Cappadocia the weather is great at the moment! Many thanks, Jon

  8. hi,
We are trying to put together an Eqypt/Jordan/Turkey holiday arriving whereever (direction not set yet) 14 May. We need to NOT be stuck in a bus and are keen cyclists. Have a very short window to book current possibilities – please send prices / info on self guide.
We need to see as many “tourist” sites as possible – but the way I read your trips is they are more about enjoying the ride and scenery and not the main tourist sites… And if we spend 2 weeks doing the tourist thing, we start to run out of time and $ to do another 1-2 weeks of riding about 🙁
    Suggestions please.
    Many thanks

  9. Hi Jon
Firstly, congratulations on a brilliant website – my wife & I have been drooling over the various options since recently stumbling upon it. We’ve now abandoned our plans to cycle-tour from Croatia to Turkey and intend to focus instead on the regions & routes you so vividly describe. We’ll have 5 weeks to play with from Sept. 9th. We have steel-framed, 26″, rigid tourers that cope fine with gravel roads. Our adult daughter will join us for poss. two weeks (on one of your hired bikes).
Interestedly mainly in the self-guided options – Aegean and/or Cappodocia – and guided Capp. MTB (x2). I see your 28/09-5/10 is now FULL so keen on the following week.
Hopefully, once there, you could provide us with itinerary suggestions for some independent touring to fill the intervening weeks 🙂
Look forward to hearing from you.

    • Hello there. Many thanks for the compliments on our website! I’ll send you an email with some tour details and then we can begin to plan your itinerary in Turkey! All the best, Jon

  10. We are 3 adults looking for a self guided bike tour for approximately 7-8 days. Probally landing in Istanbul. Would you give us more information and price ranges. We are flexible in distances but are thinking between 30-80 k a day, also wondering what is best time to come, avoiding crowds and hot weather, thanks james DeBay

    • Hi James. Many thanks for your enquiry- the good news is that there are many options to suit your self guided requirements! I’ll send you an email with some details and options!
