Incredible rock cut church with some of the finest frescoes to be found anywhere in Cappadocia- one of the highlights of our new road tour… The church in this walled monastery complex is unique as it is believed to present the works of 3 different artists. It also unusually has painted hunting scenes, featuring strangely depicted animals, in an upstairs room, plus a warren like underground city. Aegean Road Biking New Photos
Here’s a few of our favourite moments from last week’s Aegean Road Biking tour with Roger and Marina. You can see all the photos on our Facebook gallery here.
Working with Cycle 4 Gaza to organise the big ride!
This week Biking in Turkey have been out and about, completing a circuit of the Sea of Marmara, near Istanbul, in preparation for next month’s charity road biking event. The route, particularly sections near Canakkale and Tekirdag / Sarkoy, is absolutely beautiful! The ride, put together by Medical Aid for Palestinians, will cover over 350km in three days- a good challenge for any cyclist. Due to take place between October 24th and 28th, entry to the event is not closed, but you can still join us in Istanbul and ride the last leg if you happen to be in the area.
Aegean Coast Road Biking Routefinding Trip
A route finding mission that took us over 2500km of beautiful roads along Turkey’s Aegean coast region. From deserted beaches to undiscovered mountain ranges, this area has it all. And the tour is now a real winner!
